Pimp My Car is a modification software for Grand Theft Auto.

Pimp My Car is also known as Pimp My Ride, depending upon the region. While one way to make a custom car for games such as Grand Theft Auto is by using photo shop, a simpler way is by using the Pimp My Car software. Generally used for the Grand Theft Auto franchise's San Andreas game, Pimp My Car is an unofficial mod program for players of the game.

Used in Grand Theft Auto IV, Pimp My Car offers lots of new features and modifications for players' race cars. Some of the available add-ons include rocket launchers, neon lights, and NOS - a hyper speed enhancer. Light effects can give players police lights to get to the finish line in a hurry, and there are even options for tuning the car.

With Pimp My Car players can modify and save 10 cars at a time. Designed by an independent software coder ZAZ, Pimp My Car has also been modified extensively. New versions and updates enable players to expand their options exponentially.

Specifically with the Pimp My Car software, players can have NOS effects - up to 12 of them, which are accessible during the game itself. Tuning, high flip, indestructible, doors open, engine/car/save, unflip, door lock, and CLEO scripts all play a significant part of the player's experience with Pimp My Car. Programs similar to Pimp My Car, which may be compatible with the modification software include Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 1.0 and Sleeping Dogs.

CLEO scripts are custom scripts which have been written for the Grand Theft Auto franchise by Rockstar games. Though Pimp My Car is an unofficial modification, the Cleo scripts were written by the game's designer. With CLEO scripts, players are able to add fresh game features, new missions, game engine updates, or things such as in-game applications like DYOM. All of this enables the player to modify their experience playing the Grand Theft Auto series.
